A very special gin from Exmoor Distillery. The gin has spent a minimum of 12 months resting in charred ex-bourbon barrels giving it a great unique taste and vibrant colour. Using slightly different ingredients to their Northmoor Navy Strength Gin, this recipe provides the smooth, full bodied and enjoyable texture with an added smokiness and sweet flavour from the charred oak barrels; working beautifully with the higher alcohol content. Perfect on it's own as a sipping gin, with a host of mixers or in a premium cocktail. ABV 57%
Awarded 3 stars at Great Taste Awrds 2033, the judges said about it: ‘Although clearly a gin, this has whisky-like complexities that astounded the judges. Juniper forward with clear earthy notes; the length of flavour is huge and the finish is exquisite. Well balanced and yet very spicy, this is an interesting, artisanal product of the highest calibre.’
Exmoor Distillery is located on the Somerset & Devon border in the historic location of Dulverton, the southern gateway to Exmoor, and was founded in 2017 by founders John & Nicola. The Distillery has become award-winning over the years, helped by the unique water source drawn by borehole from the Exmoor Aquifer which is used in the fermentation, distillation and proofing of their spirits.
