Fine sparkling cider made using the champagne method, this is a blend (Dabinett 25% Tremletts Bitter 21% Yarlington Mill 18% Browns 12% Harry Masters Jersey 8% Porters Perfection 6% Chisel Jersey 5% Michelin Fillabarrel Sweet Coppin 5%) with primary fermentation in oak barrels for 10 months. The cider delivers green apple and oak and citrus peel flavours.
Smith Hayne is a small batch producer in mid-Devon run by Will & Anna. The Smith Hayne farm dates back to the 1300s but the orchards had been lost over the years (as is all too common in the southwest) but were replanted in the 1970s.
