Pendragon is a hard cheese made with pasteurised Buffalo milk. It has a beautiful buttery, creamy texture that melts in the mouth. it has a full flavour rounded with a strong savoury characteristic, and is nicely balanced. Pendragon takes its name from the strong historical connections Somerset has with the myths of King Arthur.
Somerset Cheese Company are based at Ditcheat, and all their cheeses are handmade using pasteurised or unpasteurised milk depending on the cheese. All the milk used is sourced as locally as possible.
