Somerset Pomona from the Somerset Brandy Cider Company makes an exceptional digestif and is an ideal accompaniment to a cheese board. Black tea in colour with tasting notes of sophisticated complex apples with honeysuckle and a hint of almond. It is deeper, richer, and very spicy on the nose, full of oak and nutmeg and clove. Moved from the Dundee Cake of the Kingston Black Aperitif to a brandy-soaked Christmas pudding, Oloroso sherry and polished furniture. All with a beating heart of stewed apple. Fans of Glendronach will love this. In the mouth, it's deep, rich, rounded, and spicy. It's very sweet, but balanced by tannin and oak. Char and raisin and cinnamon and nutmeg. In pudding terms it's Halloween's toffee apple meeting Christmas fruitcake. A decadent end-of-evening treat.
